Seattle Earns a Spot in Time Magazine’s “The World’s Greatest Places of 2021”

If you needed a reason to visit Seattle or to explore the city you live in, “Seattle: Vision of the Future” – the city’s listing in the new guide – might spur you on.

Time Magazine cites the new Climate Pledge Arena, the world’s first carbon-zero arena and home to the new Kraken pro ice hockey team, and a varied and vibrant restaurant scene as reasons to venture forth.

“The challenges of the past year and a half have transformed our world, and few industries have been as affected as travel, tourism and hospitality,” says Time in explaining how it chose the places for its list. Its third annual edition of the list “is a is a tribute to the people and businesses at the forefront of those industries who, amid extraordinary circumstances, found ways to adapt, build and innovate. It shines a light on ingenuity, creativity, revitalization and reopenings in destinations across the world.”
