Eighth Year of Funding for Judicial Institute

Margaret Fisher, research professor in the School of Law, was awarded a grant from the U.S. District Court for Western Washington to conduct a three-day Judicial Institute for Teachers. Now in its eighth year, the Judicial Institute will focus on educating social studies teachers on the federal court process, sentencing, civil rights, the U.S. Constitution, federal and state law, and the iCivics program, a web-based education project designed to teach students civics and inspire them to be active participants in our democracy.
