Applications are being accepted for two new Seattle University online graduate business programs that begin this fall, the Online Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) and an Online MBA. Built to meet the needs of full-time working professionals, these programs will impart the technical acumen and business communication skills that have made Albers graduates key contributors to the most successful and innovative companies in the Seattle market for decades.

“These programs will be crucial assets in Albers’ ongoing mission to deliver a professionally valuable, ethically grounded business education to a motivated, diverse body of students and prepare them to lead in top organizations,” says Joseph M. Phillips, PhD, dean of the Albers School of Business and Economics.

Designed to transform forward-thinking professionals into data translators prepared to direct business strategies, the Online MSBA program features coursework that emphasizes the insights that can be gleaned from large data sets by analysts with the right tools and training. The Online MBA program frames relationship building, communication and ethics as key to navigating leadership challenges at all levels of business organizations today. Its curriculum prepares students to apply substantive business knowledge in a global context, identify opportunities and problems and devise creative solutions and effectively communicate decisive courses of action.

“Both of these online business programs benefit greatly from our place in the technology-forward Seattle market,” says Holly Slay Ferraro, PhD, associate professor of management and program director for the Online MBA program. “The ongoing innovation inherent to the region offers a vital springboard for our students into careers in some of the most desirable sectors and companies today.”

The Online MBA program is comprised of 19 courses and features a required on-campus retreat. It is designed to be completed in as little as two-and-a-half years. The Online MSBA is made up of 15 courses, with no on-campus requirement, and it can be completed within two years. Both programs utilize an intuitive learning management system grounded in best practices to deliver an optimal online learning experience, compatible with both desktop and mobile devices.

Seattle University partnered with Everspring, an online learning provider, to bring the new online business programs to campus.

“Everspring is proud to work with Seattle University and Albers to launch these online graduate business programs,” says Beth Hollenberg, president of Everspring. “The faculty and leadership at Albers share our vision for a truly differentiated online business program. … Together, we are creating two such dynamic programs.”

Applications for admission are now being accepted for a September 2019 class start, with a final application deadline of September 10, 2019. Visit albersonline.seattleu.edu for more information about the Online MBA and Online MSBA.
