Seattle University ROTC cadets placed 1,500 long-stemmed roses on headstones at Evergreen Washelli Veterans Memorial Cemetery on May 12 as part of National Military Appreciation Month. The roses were donated after a concert held the previous night. The cadets received kudos for their volunteer efforts in The Seattle Times’ May 19 edition of “Rant & Rave.” A full slideshow of images by Peter Van Houten can be viewed at SU ROTC.
