Arts / Faith and HumanitiesHigh HonorsWritten by Mike TheeApril 14, 2017No Image Credit ProvidedNo Caption ProvidedSU's 2017 Alpha Sigma Nu inductees excel academically and represent the highest Jesuit ideals.A distinguished group of students and other honorary members were inducted into Seattle University’s Chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society, on April 6.“The inductees represent a group of people who show excellence in scholarship, loyalty to Jesuit values and service,” President Stephen Sundborg, S.J., wrote to the campus community. Founded in 1915, Alpha Sigma Nu is unique among honor societies as it recognizes students who not only excel academically but also in living out the values of their Jesuit education and serving others. Juniors, seniors and graduate students who are in the top 15 percent of their class academically and demonstrate a record of service and loyalty to the Jesuit ideals of education are considered for membership. Last year, Seattle University was recognized as the Alpha Sigma Nu Chapter of the Year.
