The Humanities for Teaching degree admits a select group of 15-25 incoming freshmen every fall. Students proceed through the courses in a carefully-planned sequence, meaning that it can be difficult to transfer into the major after a significant amount of coursework has been completed. All applicants must meet Seattle University's minimum admissions requirements.

If a student decides to leave the program, for whatever reason, the foundational courses in Matteo Ricci College can be counted as a fulfillment of most of the University's core requirements, so students who transfer out of the program find that they have lost little time in progressing toward some other degree. We highly recommend that you contact the program coordinator to learn more about the program.
