Are you looking for a quiet place to study? Or a place to meet and work on a group project? The Library & Learning Commons offers several options to meet your needs:
The Library provides 16 group study rooms that can be reserved by Seattle University students, staff, faculty, and community members.
Quiet reading rooms are available on the 3rd and 6th floors, and individual study rooms are the 4th and 5th floors.
The Byte Cafe and lounge is on the 2nd floor.
Six "consulting cubicles" are available near the reference books on the 2nd floor, and are available for students when not reserved for librarians or Math Lab staff. Each has a large computer screen, a table, and chairs. For students, these cubicles may not be reserved; they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
One of the cubicles is reserved during most daytime/weekday hours for librarians helping with drop-in questions. Another cubicle is designated for research consultations, and may be reserved by librarians for specific times. A piece of paper noting the date and time of the reservation will be posted on the cubicle; students are expected to let librarians use the space when it has been reserved.
