Hi there!
My name is Ami(she/they) and I study International Studies at SU. This is my first year with Learning Assistance Programs and I will be both Language Conversation Group Leader and tutor for the Japanese language.
I was born and raised in Sendai, Japan and I enjoy cooking Japanese food and listening to true crime podcasts (let me know if you have any recommendations!) I am passionate about the women's rights movement in East Asia and I am one of the researchers at the intersectional feminist community in Japan "AWAKE."

Salut! My name is Lily:) I am the French Conversation Leader for the academic year 2022-2023. I am a third-year Nursing major who is minoring in French! I have studied abroad in Grenoble, France; where I was able to meet friends from all over the world. In my free time, I love to hike and play soccer. On campus, I am also an RA in Bellarmine and a lifeguard at UREC. J’ai hâte de parler avec vous!!

Hey everyone! My name is Sabrina a third year at Seattle University majoring in Sociology and Spanish. I am a native Spanish speaker as my parents are Peruvian. I was born and raised in California which means I will be out trying to find every moment of sun in Seattle! My main hobby is dance, and I will be going into my second year on the Seattle U dance team! I’m very excited to work with LAP this year and can’t wait to meet you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Cullin and I am the Languages Subject Specialist. I am in my third year and majoring in both Social Work and Spanish. This is my second year with LAP - last year I was a Group Conversation Leader and will be doing it once again this Spring! I am super passionate about languages, and am thrilled to step into this new role and get more involved with LAP! I have been studying Spanish for seven years. I lived in Guatemala for six months after high school; studied abroad in Puebla, Mexico last Winter; and spent this past Spring in Mexico City. Some fun facts about me: I am from Minnesota, I am passionate about immigration and social justice, I love traveling and spending time outdoors, I was a barista for 2 years, and I enjoy cooking and trying new foods. I look forward to meeting you and being a resource for you on your language-learning journey!
