Panopto is the audio video capture system currently used in the Loyola 101 Counseling Lab. Due to a restricted number of licenses, this program is only available for the counseling lab and its users at this time. 

How Do I Switch between Headset Sound and TV Sound?

1. In the right hand corner of the screen near Date and Time, there is a sound icon. Right-click on this icon.

2. In the menu that appears, choose Playback Devices.

3. The Sound Window appears.

  • If you would like to switch from headphone sound to TV sound, right-click on SAMSUNG and select Set as Default Device. Click OK to close the window.
  • If you would like to switch from TV sound to headphone sound, right-click on Speakers and select Set as Default Device. Click OK to close the window.

How Do I Adjust the Sound Levels of the Microphone?

1. In the right hand corner of the screen near Date and Time, there is a sound icon. Right-click on this icon.

2. In the menu that appears, choose Recording Devices.

3. In the Sound Window that appears, select the Recording Tab.

4. In the Recording Tab, double-click on Microphone.

5. In the Microphone Properties, select the Levels tab.

6. Move the slider up or down to adjust the volume of the microphone.

7. Click OK. After clicking OK, you should be able to hear the changes.

Note: It is recommended that Microphone Boost not be used. Only turn Microphone boost up if the microphone cannot be heard after setting the microphone volume up to 100. If boost is turned on, then the microphone volume might have to be adjusted down. Changes will be noticeable after clicking Apply or OK. If you are viewing a broadcast, this will be noticed in about 7 seconds.
