Planned Systems Maintenance occurs every month to ensure university systems and services stay up to date. Below is a list of schedules and affected services. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

Friday, August 17 

 

VPN Access 5:00pm to 6:00pm 

VPN access via the Cisco AnyConnect client will be unavailable.  Remote network access via the virtual desktop service (desktop.seattleu.edu) will be available as an alternative. 

 

Building Network Connectivity 7:30pm to 8:30pm 

Wired and wireless network access as well as campus printing will be intermittently unavailable in all buildings. 

 

Friday, August 24 

 

Monthly System Patches/Updates 6:00pm to 10:00pm 

Services that will be intermittently unavailable during this window include the following:

-Raiser’s Edge 

-SUOnline (WebAdvisor & Self-Service)

Sunday, August 26 

 

Domain Controller Updates 6:00am to noon 

The following services will be unavailable during this window: 

-Colleague 

-SUOnline (WebAdvisor & Self-Service) 

 

Friday, September 7 

 

Papercut Upgrade 6:00pm to midnight 

Campus Printing will be unavailable for the duration of the maintenance window.  

 

Server Updates 8:00pm to 9:00pm 

The following servers will be unavailable during this window:  

-OITFS5 (8-8:30pm)  

OITFS5 is for specific class files and archival data. SU members with access to this to this specific file share have been contacted. 

-OITFS7 (8:30-9pm) 

OITFS7 is a file share for Law School Faculty, Staff, and Students. SU members who will be impacted have been contacted by our technicians. 

 

Domain Name System Cutover 9:00pm to 9:15pm 

Modifications to our external DNS are being implemented during this period.  If you experience difficulty accessing a service from outside the SeattleU network please open a support request with the Help Desk via helpdesk@seattleu.edu or 206-296-5571. 

 

Friday, October 19 

 

Server Updates 6:00pm to 7:00pm 

The following server will be unavailable during this window: OITFS5. 

OITFS5 is for specific class files and archival data. SU members with access to this to this specific file share have been contacted.

VDI Update 11:00pm 

Services will remain available during this update. Upon completion, VDI displays will automatically turn off after 2.5 hours of inactivity, thereby conserving energy. 

 

November 16, 2018

November 18, 2018

 

Internet Upgrade 7:15am to 7:30am 

Internet Access will be intermittently unavailable during this window.

 

Tip If you experience connectivity issues with either your computer or office phone after these updates, please reboot your device as a first troubleshooting step. If you continue to experience internet problems, please contact the Help Desk for further troubleshooting.
