Winter 2021 Waiver Deadlines:

Students studying INSIDE the U.S.: Waiver deadline is January 11, 2021 

Students studying OUTSIDE the U.S.: Survey deadline is January 4, 2021

  • For international students beginning their studies in Winter 2021, health insurance fees will be automatically added to your SUOnline account for the 2020-2021 academic year. Coverage will begin January 1, 2021 and end August 31, 2021. 
  • For international students who will be studying from OUTSIDE the U.S. in Winter 2021 due to COVID-19, you should not fill out the waiver below. Instead, please fill out THIS SURVEY so we can remove the health insurance fees from your SU account. The deadline for this survey is January 4, 2021, and fees will not be removed until after January 5, 2021.
  • If you are inside the U.S. and would like to use your own health insurance plan and waive the Seattle University health insurance coverage, you must fill out the waiver before the deadline of January 11, 2021. Please follow these instructions:
    • Health Insurance Waiver Link
    • Enter school name "Seattle University"
    • Select your plan year 2020-2021
    • Select 'international student' under "What Type of Student Are You?" dropdown & click "go"
    • Click "Submit Waiver Here" and follow instructions
  • After your waiver has been approved, you will not need to submit another waiver until next academic year.

Spring 2021 Law Student Waiver Deadline: January 11, 2021

  • For international law students beginning in the spring semester, health insurance fees will be automatically added to your account.
  • If you would like to use your own health insurance plan and waive the Seattle University health insurance coverage, you must fill out the waiver before the deadline of January 11, 2021
    • Health Insurance Waiver Link - LAW
    • Enter school name "Seattle University School of Law"
    • Select your plan year 2020-2021
    • Select 'international student' under "What Type of Student Are You?" dropdown & click "go"
    • Click "Submit Waiver Here" and follow instructions
  • After your waiver has been approved, you do not need to submit another waiver until the next academic year
