  • Mission

    The International Student Center (ISC) assists international students in achieving success in their educational endeavors and through the contribution of their varied and unique cultural and global perspectives, serves to broaden the University community's cultural and global awareness.


    Global education at Seattle University is an essential part of our Jesuit Catholic educational mission, and a crucial means to succeeding in our expressed commitment to "empowering leaders for a just and humane world." We seek to educate and develop conscientious members of the global community, women and men who will be motivated by a shared conviction to promote lasting peace and social justice within and between nations.

    Overarching Office Goals

    The ISC develops and implements various programs that support international student’s academic, social, cultural, emotional, and spiritual success to promote international student retention and degree completion.   

    The ISC provides support & education to international students with regard to a variety of immigration related issues and works with federal authorities to ensure that our students and the University remain in compliance with federal policy and law within the United States Customs and Immigration Services.

    The ISC will be visible across campus and continue to broaden collaboration with academic and non-academic University departments to support the University strategic goal of Global Engagement and assist the campus as it continues to internationalize its culture, programs, and services.
