Seattle University is both legally obligated and ethically committed to providing a safe and healthy living, learning, and working environment. University employees are expected to accept certain responsibilities, adhere to University policies and procedures, and exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times. Since knowledge and awareness are the essential guides for our actions, all employees are required to complete the following online courses upon hire and every two years thereafter:

Compliance Training FAQ's

How is compliance training assigned?

  • New faculty & staff should receive an email from engagesu@seattleu.edu assigning them all three courses. 
    • Faculty receive access to the courses up to 8 weeks prior to their start date. 
    • Staff receive access to the courses on their start date, therefore the email should be waiting in their SU email inbox on their first day. 
  • If you do not see the email, please contact engagesu@seattleu.edu
  • You can also access the courses by searching the titles in the search bar in the upper right-hand corner of EngageSU instead of waiting to be assigned. 
  • Two-year refreshers are assigned automatically, but you are welcome to take the courses at any time by accessing them via EngageSU. 

How do I disable pop-up blockers?

  • The online compliance courses require that pop-up blockers be disabled. If your training isn't launching look for the small pop-up blocker icon in your url bar. Follow the directions below to disable the pop-up blocker.

What browsers are compatible with online compliance courses?

  • Chrome (latest version)
  • Firefox (latest version)

How do I update my browser to the latest version?

My compliance training is stuck. What do I do?

  • Ensure that you are using a compatible browser from the list above. If not, exit out of your training (your progress will be saved) and then re-open in a compatible browser. Google Chrome is the recommended browser for all online courses within EngageSU.
  • Turn on Accessibility Mode which is the toggle located right under the training video on the screen.  This allows you to see the next steps or clicks needed to advance the screen.
  • Visit support.lawroom.com or call (1-844-348-1616) for a 24/7 helpline where you can call, email, or live chat.

I've completed my training. How do I verify that it is complete?

  • After you have completed your training, please allow the EngageSU system enough time to process the request. 
  • Hover over 'Learning & Development' on the top navigation bar. 
  • Click 'View Your Transcript' from the drop-down menu.
  • Change the drop-down menu from 'Active' to 'Completed'.
  • If you are still unable to see your completed training, contact engagesu@seattleu.edu

I have completed a course but it is not showing as complete on my transcript. What do I do?

  • Email your completion certificate to engagesu@seattleu.edu. Sometimes there is a disconnect between EngageSU and the Everfi courses. HR will verify the course is complete and mark it as so from the backend.  

I'm a supervisor. How do I verify my employees have completed the training?

  • Hover over 'Learning & Development' on the top navigation bar. 
  • Click 'View Your Transcript' from the drop-down menu.
  • Under the 'My Department' drop-down select your direct report's profile.
  • On their 'Transcript' section go to the drop-down menu and search for 'Active', 'Completed' and/or other options to find.

How do I review part of the course after I have already completed it?

  • Hover over 'Learning & Development' on the top navigation bar. 
  • Click 'View Your Transcript' from the drop-down menu.
  • Change the drop-down menu from 'Active' to 'Completed'.
  • Click on the course name to re-open the content for review.
