Technology and Website Assistant - 2019/2020

Position Summary

The Technology & Web Site Assistant (TWSA) is an integral member of the Housing and Residence Life team, serving as one of the initial representatives of the department and Seattle University (SU). 

 The Technology & Web Site Assistant will primarily update, develop, and manage the customer facing experience for Housing and Residence Life (HRL). These include HRL website, Housing application database (StarRez), and other front desk duties as assigned. The Technology and Web Site Assistant will also help update and coordinate HRL apple devices. 

Reports to: Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Office Manager

To qualify for the TWSA position, you must:

  • Be enrolled as a full time student at Seattle University
  • Be in good academic (maintaining a 2.5 cumulative GPA) and conduct standing with Seattle University and Housing and Residence Life.
  • Have previous web design and HTML experience.
  • Have knowledge of or desire to learn CSS, HTML5, photo editing skills.
  • Have the ability to manage devices such as mobile devises, tablets, etc.

DA Selection Process Timeline

The following is the projected selection process timeline for 2018/2019 TWSAs. 

  • 3/16/18 - Application opens at the following link: 2018-2019 Technology and Website Assistant Application
  • 4/13/18 - Application closes at 11:59 pm
  • Week of 4/30/18 to 5/4/18 - Interviews (anticipate 45 minutes to 1 hour each)
  • 5/11/18 - Candidates notified of hiring status
  • 5/18/18 - Deadline to accept/decline position
