Strategic Plan: The Cabinet discussed the revised draft of the strategic plan document. The Steering Committee continues to receive feedback from the open forums and will deliver to Fr Sundborg on Nov. 1 the final draft for his review. The Board of Trustees will be receiving the final document at the Nov. 14 Board meeting.

Campus Meeting Debriefs: The Cabinet discussed at length the concerns raised by the faculty, staff and students related to the removal of Planned Parenthood referrals on the university website. Fr. Sundborg met with 11 groups of students throughout the day on Wed., Oct. 16 as well as the Staff Council and the SGSU executive team. Provost Martin also provided an update on the Academic Assembly meeting.

President’s Forum: Fr. Sundborg updated the Cabinet on his proposed topics for the October 24 President’s Forum. Included will be updates on the campaign, enrollment, the FY20 budget and he will also give remarks on Planned Parenthood, providing time for questions and comments.

National Meeting Debriefs: Fr. Sundborg shared with the Cabinet a debrief from a number of national meetings he recently attended including the AJCU presidents’ meeting, the AJCU trustee forum, the Western Athletic Conference Presidents’ meeting.

Updates: The Thanksgiving lunch will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Campion. The Men’s Basketball season begins Tuesday, Oct. 22 with an exhibition game against St. Martins; there is a donor event at 13 Coins prior to the game. Cabinet was reminded about Board meeting deadlines for submitting materials.
