360 Evaluation Debriefs: Tim Leary and Mary Petersen shared with the Cabinet their reflections on the 360 they participated in last year. There are three Cabinet members participating in the process this year.

Budget Advisory Group: Wilson Garone updated the Cabinet on the latest Budget Advisory Group meeting. The university’s financial repositioning and establishment of a multi-year financial plan begins with the development of the FY21 budget. Discussion followed. A letter from the president regarding the financial repositioning and the FY21 budget will be sent to the faculty and staff later in the day (Jan 21).

Strategic Directions Launch and Strategic Planning Council: The Cabinet debriefed the launch of the Strategic Directions on Thursday, Jan. 16. The Strategic Planning Council (SPC) has been established and the working groups will be identified.  The SPC will meet monthly with working groups meeting in between.

Board of Trustees Meeting Agenda: The Cabinet reviewed the Feb. 13 meeting agenda.

The Years That Matter Most: Fr Sundborg would like to set time aside with the Cabinet to discuss the book by Paul Tough. A date will be determined in the coming week.

Census 2020: Alvin Sturdivant briefed the Cabinet on Census 2020 and the university’s participation. Tim Albert is the university’s point person.

Updates: OMA 50th anniversary is Tuesday, Jan 21. The International Dinner is Feb 1. Winter Involvement Fair is Jan 30 in Campion; Cabinet are encouraged to stop by. The Cabinet received a campaign update - $256M raised to date. Cabinet approved the expense allocation (savings from the Slate CRM implementation) for a consultant to accelerate ongoing work with InformSU. Sullivan Leaders Day is Saturday, Jan 25. Cabinet and Deans is Jan. 27; Michelle Clements, Alvin Sturdivant and Kristen Swanson are working on the agenda which will focus on leadership.
