COVID-19 Response Plan: The Cabinet approved the proposed framework for the coordinated oversight effort in responding to the many issues related to COVID-19. 

Student Worker Proposal: The Cabinet was updated on the status of student workers based on the data compiled from supervisors. Students will continued to be paid through April 30. Further direction for pay periods after April 30 will be communicated later in April. 

Workplace Strategies: VP for HR, Michelle Clements, provided the Cabinet with information regarding staff workloads at this time. She continues to be in touch with other AJCU schools and their respective approaches to the current situation. 

Summer Quarter: Summer Quarter classes will be provided through virtual learning. 

Commencement: Upon recommendation from the Provost, the Cabinet approved the postponement of Commencement to the weekend of October 9-11, 2020. Further details will be forthcoming. 

Strategic Planning Council: The Strategic Planning Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 9 – 11 a.m. The work of the SPC continues, balancing the immediacy now with the university’s response to COVID-19 and the university of the future. The SPC remains the group “on point” to guide the strategic directions. 

Updates: Academic Assembly approved that the SU be ACT, SAT test optional for students applying to SU; the Provost and President also approved. A press release will be made later in the day.
