The 2015 Faculty & Staff Giving Campaign is officially underway! This year's campaign is led by co-chairs Mary Sepulveda from the Library and Bernie Liang from Student Activities. The supporting committee is comprised of faculty and staff volunteers representing the major campus divisions.

Mary and Bernie both bring a wealth of Seattle University history to the campaign, as well as an sincere desire to support students in their journey to develop into leaders for a just and humane world.

Mary's relationship with Seattle U began in 1971. She has grown and evolved at Seattle U, and has watched the University do the same. As she puts it "I was nurtured at Seattle University and I grew up here…this place means family to me." Bernie started off as a graduate student at Seattle U in 1999 then worked as a hall director in Xavier for three years. After working for other institutions for eight years, Bernie happily came back to Seattle U as the Director of Student Activities in 2011. Bernie says, "I've seen a lot of changes at SU since I first got here as a student and it's been a pleasure to watch Seattle University grow into itself."

This year, our goal with the Faculty & Staff Giving Campaign is to cross the 50% participation threshold! Will you help us? Your gift to the campaign, no matter the size, signifies to our students, your colleagues and the community that you truly believe in the mission of Seattle University.

To those who have already participated in the campaign this year, thank you! If you have not yet participated, please consider making your gift today!

  • As a student caller, I had the unique experience of thanking and interacting with alumni who helped make my education at Seattle University possible. I am inspired and proud of our Jesuit education. I believe it provides the skills and vision to become a leader who values giving back.
