Science and Engineering

  • Goldwater Scholarship
    *Must be a sophomore or junior at the time of application. Gives up to $7,500 to pursue careers in science, math, & engineering
  • National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship
    *Alumni Eligible
    Cover 3 years of graduate study for early graduate students leading to research-based masters or doctoral degrees in science, math, engineering & technology
  • Knowles Science Teaching Foundation
    *Alumni Eligible: within 5 years of most recent degree
    Gives up to 5 years of professional and financial support towards a teach preparation program for current/future teachers of high school math and science 
  • Annual CGTrader Scholarship 2017 
  • *Must be a highschool senior, undergraduate, or graduate student at the time of application. Gives up to $3000 towards education bills.

Environment

  • Udall Scholarship
    *Must be a sophomore or junior at the time of application
    Gives up to $7,000 for all students in environmental fields and for Native American & Alaskan Native students in health care, tribal government, and public policy affecting Native American communities. 
  • EPA Greater Research Opportunities (GRO) Fellowships for Undergraduate Environmental Study
    Provides up to $20,700 per academic year of support and $8,600 of support for a three-month summer internship Students will receive support for their junior and senior years of undergraduate study and for an internship at an EPA facility during the summer of their junior year. Subject to availability of funding
  • EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study
    *Alumni Eligible
    Provides up to $42,000 per year of support per fellowship for masters and doctoral level students in environmental fields of study. Subject to availability of funding.

Study Abroad

  • CBYX: Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program
    *Alumni Eligible: ages 18-24
    Covers academic, living & travel expenses to study in Germany for all fields with a focus on business, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields
  • Gilman International Scholarship
    *Must be receiving Pell Grant financial aid at the time of application
    Gives up to $8,000 for studying abroad
  • Boren Scholarship (NSEP)
    Gives up to $20,000 to undergraduates studying abroad in regions outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Critical Language Scholarships for Intensive Summer Institutes
    *Alumni Eligible
    Covers all cost to study critical languages abroad in the summer (critical languages include: Arabic, Bengla/Bengali, Hindu, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu, Chinese, Korean, Persian, Russian, and Azerbaijani)
  • Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) German Academic Exchange Service
    *Alumni Eligible
    Information on a variety of abroad opportunities in Germany. Opportunities include Undergraduate Scholarships and Post-Baccalaureate Research
  • U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission Summer Institutes
    Provide the opportunity for US undergraduates, who have completed no more than two years of university study, to come to the UK on a three, four, or five week academic and cultural summer program
  • Fulbright U.S. Student
    *Alumni Eligible
    Covers academic, living & travel costs for 1 year to study, research, or teach abroad in over 150 countries. 
  • Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship
    *Alumni Eligible
    Covers academic, living, & travel costs for 1 year to teach abroad in over 60 countries
  • Fulbright U.K.
    *Alumni Eligible
    Covers academic, living & travel expenses for 1 year to study or research in the UK
  • Fulbright National Geographic Digital Story Telling Fellowship
    Funding for an academic year of overseas travel and digital storytelling in up to three countries on a globally significant social or environmental topic. In addition to the Fulbright benefits, Fellows will receive instruction in digital storytelling techniques, including effective blog writing, video production, and photography, by National Geographic staff prior to their departure 
  • Humanity in Action Fellowship: A summer program in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw. Open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who are interested in exploring national histories of discrimination and resistance as well as issues impacting underrepresented groups today

  • Mitchell Scholarship
    *Alumni Eligible: ages 18-30
    Covers academic, living & travel expenses for 1 year of graduate study in Ireland and Northern Ireland
  • Boren Fellowship (NSEP)

    Gives up to $30,000 towards graduate study in languages and cultures outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand

If you are committed to public service leadership, issues related to Native American Nations or the Environment, we hope you’ll consider applying for the Udall Scholarship! The Udall awards up to $7,000 for U.S. citizen sophomores and juniors who are committed to service and issues related to Native American Nations or the Environment.
