Signage

Design + Construction coordinates the design and installation of all campus signage that is attached to buildings or the ground. D+C reviews scope; contracts for design services as needed; and contracts for and supervises the installation.

D+C maintains a campus signage standards manual with design documents for our standard signage to streamline the process. In addition, we coordinate the signage design with MarCom to ensure it meets brand standards, and for donor signs with University Advancement.

Many components of campus signage are regulated by the Building Code, Land Use code, or the ADA. In addition, signage installations may require a review of the substrate the sign will be attached to for structural issues or potential damage.

Large scale signage revisions such as revising the building pylon signs or the campus maps due to moves or unit name changes, take place once per year during the summer. Requests for changes should be submitted early in Spring Quarter for the summer revisions.

Building Directory inserts and room occupant inserts may be ordered at any time via a work order.

To initiate a signage project, please submit a Facilities Request Form.
