Relationship Map for Educational Engagement Project

Center for Social Transformation and Leadership Catholic Education Initiative

The Center for Social Transformation and Leadership will strengthen Catholic education by utilizing the resources of the University to offer a broad range of programs and services to advance Catholic education in our region.  To develop a sustained and long-term partnership with Catholic schools in the Pacific Northwest, CSTL’s plan undertake the following activities in during the following academic year:

  1. Catholic School Council: CSTL will develop a Catholic School Council to facilitate collaboration among the Catholic school partners, CSTL and the College of Education.
  2. Convocation for Applied Learning & Leading (CALL): Summer Formation Summit 
    CSTL will convene a 4-day collaborative summit in August 2021 that is uniquely designed provide an opportunity for teachers, administrators, school board members and other educational leaders to learn about new insights and strategies for strengthening Catholic Education.  The CALL will include training focused on a balance of “Applied School Improvement & Design Lab”.
  3. Professional Learning Lab for Catholic Schools
    CSTL, in collaboration with partner Catholic Schools Office, will pioneering a professional development program for Catholic educators starting Winter 2020 designed specifically to focused on individual school needs.  Professional Learning activities include professional pevelopment programs for faculty and board members as well as organizational consultation focused on school sustainability and innovation.

Organizational Consulting

Connecting professionals with experts who have designed and transformed organizations CSTL works with education, business, government, and nonprofit agencies to implement social impact and organizational development projects. CSTL consultants consist of faculty, students, and alumni with broad experience in facilitating change through face-to-face and online interventions. Seattle University faculty and CSTL affiliates offer consultations and workshops customized for our organizational partners.

Relationship Map for Educational Engagement Project

The community relationship mapping project will facilitate community engagement activities in support of its development of a strategic framework for Seattle University to engaged with fellow Catholic Educational Institutions. This project is designed to seek and solicit input from varying entities and persons within the Seattle University community related to the existing relationships with Catholic schools through the implementation of the Community Relationship Mapping Project.  Ultimately, the project will produce an interactive Relationship Map and website to create cloud-share databases for merging data collected related to Seattle University community engagements related to Catholic Education.
