Your connection to the College of Education is a life-long relationship. Many of our alumni maintain and build upon relationships with their cohort, their instructors, staff, and current students. Others stay connected as a mentors for current students, members of Education advisory boards, guest lecturers in classes, and support the College as donors to scholarships, programs, and initiatives that provide a exceptional and bright future for College of Education students. As a graduate of the College of Education, you are part of a network of more than 12,000 professionals who are leaders and educators in the U.S. and abroad. We encourage you to get involved and stay connected after graduation.
The College of Education produces a magazine with stories about our programs, alumni, faculty and students. Starting in 2015, the Banner will be published on a biennial basis, online, at the start of Winter and Summer quarters. Each year the College of Education and our graduate programs host events for alumni, students and the community. Our Educator Career Services can help you find a new position. We also offer numerous professional development opportunities and conferences for working professional throughout the year.
Be a mentor, offer an internship, refer a prospective student, or assist with fundraising. Check with your program to see if there are ways to volunteer your time or services to enrich the experience of our students. Advisory boards, focus groups, mentoring, supervising interns, conducting mock interviews, and representing your program at a college fair are just a few ways to be involved. Magis, SU's center for graduates of all Jesuit universities, hosts numerous community volunteer events and networking opportunities.
