Yahyahan Aras is an international doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He received his bachelor's degree from Selcuk University in Turkey in School Counseling and Guidance program, and his master's degree from Rutgers University in Counseling Psychology. Aras’ research agenda includes the professional identity development of counselor educators, social justice identity development of school counselors, and counselors-in-training, counseling needs of refugees/immigrants, and mentoring international students. In his leisure time, Aras enjoys playing and watching soccer, playing tennis, and practicing Latin dances.
