Biography

Since obtaining my Ph.D. in Psychology in 1989 I have been committed to the mental health and addictions field. For the past 27 years I have worked in private practice and have helped a significant number of individuals enter into chemical dependency treatment. In addition, I have been a tenured professor, chair, and program director in the Seattle University Counseling program. Over the past three years I have integrated addiction-counseling curriculum to create a combined mental health/addiction-counseling program. Along with Hutch Haney I have written two books with accompanying videos; Basic Counseling Responses and Basic Counseling Responses in Groups.
