How to Use Your Accommodations

After meeting with a DS director, you're approved for accommodations, but the academic accommodations are not yet active. In order to activate and use your  accommodations for each class, you'll use the online system myDS.

Follow these steps each quarter:

1.  Login to myDS with your SU username and password   
   • myDS Log In
2. Review and digitally sign e-form agreements
3. Request accommodations you want for each class
   • See Requesting Accommodations for instructions
4. MyDS emails a “Faculty Notification Letter” to each professor
   • Medical information is not disclosed
   • See our Confidentiality Policy
5. Take additional steps as necessary
   • Have testing accommodations? Schedule each test/quiz in MyDS at least 3 school days in advance - see Alternative Testing for instructions
   • Contact your DS director if the accommodation name instructs you to
