Notetaking Services

1. Log onto MyDS.
2. Find the box, "Step 1: Select Class(es).”
3. Choose course(s).
4. Click "Step 2: Continue to Customize Your Accommodations."
5. Click on the checkbox next to Notetaking Services.
6. Click "Submit Your Accommodation Request."
7. Confirm or cancel the request on MyDS once class is in session.

• The Disability Services staff will arrange for a peer note taker.
• The professor may be asked to assist in recruiting a note taker.
• Alternatively, the student may choose to find their own peer note taker.
• Peer note takers are required to e-sign a Confidentiality Agreement through MyDS.
• Lecture Notes may be shared via email, MyDS upload, or photocopied printouts.

Two days after classes have been in session, you must confirm or cancel your request for notetaking. You can do this two ways:

• Respond to the “Notetaking Reminder – First Notice” email.
  • Click on “Yes, I still need a notetaker for my course” if this applies.
  • Click the corresponding reason in the “No” box.
• In your myDS profile:
  • Click on the “Notetaking Services” menu on the left.
  • Click on “Confirm now” next to the request you wish to confirm.

When Lecture Notes are shared via myDS upload, you may access them through your myDS account:

• Click on the “Notetaking Services” menu on the left of your myDS account.
• Click on “Available Note(s) for Download.”
• Click on “Download Note” next to the note you wish to download.
• Lecture Notes may be shared via email, myDS upload
