Summer Session Courses beginning June 1 will be held online

April 7, 2020

Seattle University Faculty and Staff:

With the beginning of registration for summer quarter, the university needs to make determinations on how summer quarter classes will be delivered.

With continuing uncertainty regarding the course of the coronavirus pandemic and our commitment to prioritizing health and safety, the university has determined that all summer undergraduate courses will be held online.  Decisions regarding summer graduate and intersession courses will be made at a later date.

For the School of Law, which is on a semester calendar, courses beginning June 1 will be held online.  Decisions relating to instruction in Law School courses beginning after June 15 will also be made at a later date.

As we move through this pandemic, the university will endeavor to remain as nimble as possible, while allowing faculty, staff and students the time they need to adjust to changing circumstances.  We will first and foremost continue to prioritize health and safety and to communicate with community members in a timely manner.
