UPDATED: Policy on Face Coverings

New changes to Seattle University’s policy on masks are now in effect. Visit Face Covering Policy for the current guidelines. Unvaccinated individuals are required to continue wearing face coverings indoors and take additional measures.

UPDATE: Flexible Staff Work Program Pilot

As previously shared, Seattle University is implementing a workplace flexibility program for staff on a pilot basis during the fall and winter quarters. While our students, faculty and staff are excited about safely returning to campus to support our students, their learning and a great workplace for all, we also recognize that this will be a significant change for many at Seattle University following the past unprecedented 16+ months of the global pandemic. The task force will release to campus the week of July 26 the criteria, process, FAQs, resources and tools.

NEW: Requirements Detailed for Unvaccinated Community Members

Seattle University’s COVID-19 vaccination policy, now available here, includes details on what is required of students, faculty and staff who have received exemptions from the vaccine. The document also includes information that was previously shared on vaccination requirements for students and faculty and staff and information on seeking vaccination exemptions. NEW: Interim Guidelines on Campus Events and Gatherings

From now through Sept. 6, these new guidelines will apply to on-campus gatherings of 50 or more people. The guidelines, which do not apply to athletic or academic gatherings, include details on the event approval process, as well as requirements related to mask-wearing, social distancing, hygiene and sanitation, and the university’s Safe Start Health Check verification.
