Important Update on Ventilation: More Campus Spaces Being Upgraded to "Tier 1"

As previously announced, Facilities Services has upgraded all instructional spaces and conference rooms in use for fall term to “Tier 1," meaning they have at least three air changes per hour of outside air or MERV-13 filtered air. Over the next few days, portable filtration units are being deployed to all campus classrooms, conference rooms, student lounges and offices where HVAC systems are not capable of providing three air changes per hour. With these units in place, these spaces on campus will meet "Tier 1" criteria. For more information, visit  Facilities’ COVID-19 Response Plan. Please contact Elijah Nerger at nergerelijah@seattleu.edu if you have additional questions regarding a specific space on campus.

COVID-19 Testing

In case you missed it, the university shared important information last week with students about testing requirements. Please watch for more information on testing requirements for faculty and staffwhich will be posted on the university's COVID-19 Response page. Planning includes weekly testing of faculty and staff with exemptions and randomly selected surveillance testing for 10 percent of vaccinated faculty and staff while transmission rates remain higher in King County.

Vaccination Registration Update

Currently, 91 percent of our students and 92 percent of our full-time faculty and staff have registered as fully vaccinated. If you have not done so already, please register your COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible. You can view SU's vaccination dashboard at COVID-19 Response.
