Mission Day: The Jesuit Mission at the Frontiers

Mission Day takes place Thursday, April 11, in Connolly North Court, beginning with a continental breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by the presentation at 9 a.m. This year's program, "The Jesuit Mission at the Frontiers: Past and Present," will feature Gaffney Endowed Chair and Professor Tom Taylor, left, and four panelists who will address various ways in which Seattle University finds itself on the frontiers.

Our panelists are:

  • Jeff Philpott, director of the University Core Curriculum and assistant professor of communication
  • Rachael Steward, associate director, Center for Service and Community Engagement
  • Jen Sorenson, director of general science and environmental Science and assistant professor of chemistry
  • Greg Magnan, director of the Professional MBA Program and professor of marketing

Each panelist will explore the various frontiers we face today as faculty and staff. Table discussions will follow with an opportunity for you to submit questions and comments on how you see the Seattle University community at work in these areas.

Classes are canceled from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
