Talking books with Mary

Librarian Mary Sepulveda has her hands full these days. With books. She’s leading the crew charged with getting 200,000-some-odd books from the Interim Library on 13th and Columbia to their proper shelves in the Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons in time for its mid-September opening.

The sheer volume of the transplanted items makes the challenge daunting enough. The task is further complicated when you consider that some of the collections were pulled out to be used in the Interim Library, while the others were placed in storage. It falls to Sepulveda to merge these two streams.

On a recent afternoon, she took a few moments to lead The Commons on a tour of the library and learning commons. In the video clip below, she talked about getting the books onto the shelves.
