Record-breakingly generous

The final results for the 2010 Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign are in.

Co-chairs Richard Cunningham of the School of Theology and Ministry and Laurie Prince of New Student and Family Programs led a hard-working volunteer committee that helped raise faculty and staff participation rates to 40 percent, shattering last year’s rate of 32 percent, which itself was a record-setting effort.

When the smoke settled on fiscal year 2010, more than 450 faculty and staff had contributed $250,000 to the university. Nearly every area of the university raised their participation rates from last year, with four areas posting perfect participation rates.

To support the campaign, the restaurant Wild Ginger donated a gift certificate that was randomly awarded to a participant in the drive. And the lucky winner is…Susan Hawkins, of Counseling and Psychological Services. Congratulations, Susan! And congratulations to everyone who made this year’s campaign a “wild” success.
