The library is starting to look a lot like, well, a library. With 44 days to go before its scheduled completion, The Commons took a tour of Seattle University's Lemieux Library and Learning Commons. Carpet was observed on the floors, paint on the walls, lights dangling from the ceilings and, why yes, there were even shelves up and ready for the books.
The Lemieux Library is hardly recognizable, save for some old standbys like the famed double Helix stairs. The McGoldrick Learning Commons is starting to gleam as much on the inside as it does on the outside. But don’t take our word for it, check out the short video below to get a glimpse of how things are looking inside the largest construction project in SU history.
