March 13, 2017

The 2017 President Report celebrates Seattle University’s 125th anniversary by looking to the past and the future. The report highlights students, alumni and faculty, including Tsehay Abebe, ’13, cellular and molecular biology; Jean Baptiste Ganza, S.J., ’12 MBA; and professors Jot Yau (Albers), Thomas Antkowiak (Law), Jodi O’Brien (Arts and Sciences) and Jean Jacoby (Science and Engineering).

Important milestones being marked this year are called out, including the 30th anniversary of the Project Center, the 20th anniversary of the Chapel of St. Ignatius and the 10-year anniversaries of Dance Marathon and Fostering Scholars.

In his introduction, President Stephen Sundborg, S.J., writes of the university’s 125th anniversary: “This is a very special time for Seattle University. An anniversary, after all, is the bridge between heritage and hope. As we reflect back, we look ahead to the possibilities that abound.”
