A route for the streetcar: What's your preference?

Written by Mike Thee

Here’s what we know so far about the First Hill Streetcar: It’s fully funded, ground is scheduled to be broken in 2011 and the line is expected to be completed in 2013. We also know that the streetcar is coming to SU’s neighborhood. Just how close remains to be seen.

One of the routing options would bring the streetcar right into the heart of SU, with a portion running along 12th Ave, between Yesler and Union. A case for this route, officially known as the Broadway-12th Ave. Couplet, has been made by many, including the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog.

What do you think? Where should the line run?

Tell the City at any of the three meetings being held to go over the proposed routes and gather feedback:

Tuesday, Feb. 9

Union Station
401 S. Jackson St.

Thursday, Feb. 11

Thursday, Feb. 11
