Go Hawks!

Posted on Wednesday, January 29, 2014

We asked for shots of how faculty and staff are showing their Seahawks pride and here's what we've got so far.

Richie Meyer (Film and Asian Studies) and wife Susan Harmon are in New Zealand for winter quarter, but that's not keeping them from rooting for the Hawks. "We'll see the game on Monday here," he writes.

Here are Stacy "Earl" Howard (Marketing Communications) and Mollie "Russell" Hanke (Athletics) at the NFC Championship against the 49ers.

Below left we see the Hogans sporting their Hawks gear--Sue (honored retiree), Jim (emeritus professor) and David, '00--and pictured right are Sue and David at the Seahawks-Cardinals game in December. (They also attended the playoff game against the Saints.)

And here, left to right, we have nursing faculty GG Salvatierra and Jennifer Fricas outside the appropriately decorated office they share on the third floor of Garrand.

Shots from Christmas break

JennaIsaksonTetons2_SnapshotJenna Isakson, sponsored projects accounting technician in the College of Science and Engineering's budget office sent in this shot: "My boyfriend (Tyler), dog (Dusty), and I went on a 10 day winter roadtrip through to the Grand Tetons. It was beautiful, sunny, had lots of snow to play in and lots of wildlife to view."

A team of SU-ers, including (clockwise from bottom right, surrounding Santa) electrical and computer engineering faculty member Henry Louie, 2012 alumna Ayesha Pirbhai and Facilities' Steve Szablya were in Kenya over Christmas to assess the installation of a battery charging station in the rural part of the country. The project is scheduled for the summer.
