Professionals Without Borders

About

Professionals Without Borders empowers Seattle University students to lead sustainable service projects both locally and abroad. With Jesuit values being at the forefront of their work, students give compassionate service to others by providing clean water, health care and fresh food. We embody Seattle University's mission in creating a more just and humane world.

After witnessing a population that lacked many basic resources when visiting Nicaragua in 2007Steve Szablya and Cal Ihler founded PWOB to help provide access to clean water and medical clinics. PWOB was able to take its first trip to Zambia in 2009 after much planning and fundraising. Since then, the number of participants has increased significantly and PWOB has been able to raise funding and host many service projects. For more information, click here.
