Kate brings an academic background in Disability Studies, with a particular interest in representations of disability in film and literature. Kate was born and raised in Seattle and earned her PhD in Italian Studies from Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, songwriting, and playing with her black lab Selkie. She is also enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in the College of Education at Seattle University.
