Sacraments

Campus Ministers accompany students on their journey of exploring faith and preparing for the sacraments. Sacraments are moments in the life of the Church which draw us deeper into relationship with God and with the faith community.

Adult Baptism: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

Are you exploring the possibility of becoming a Catholic? The process for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) begins in the Fall. The process culminates with Baptism or Profession of Faith at the Easter Vigil. The RCIA is a year-long process of exploration, prayer, reflection and study that leads to full Christian initiation at the Easter Vigil in the Roman Catholic community.

Confirmation

Confirmation, a Sacrament of Initiation in the Roman Catholic community for baptized Catholics, includes 5 quarterly meetings preparation for a spring celebration, following regular study, prayer and reflection. Classes begin each fall quarter.

For more information, please contact Campus Ministry at (206) 296-6075.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (previously known as "Confession") is available on Sundays during the academic year at 7:15pm, or after any Mass in the Chapel of St. Ignatius, providing that the presider is available after the liturgy. Approach the presider and ask if he is available to celebrate the sacrament with you.

We also offer a Reconciliation Prayer Service each Lent, where we pray communally for forgiveness and the individual Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered.
