Personal Bio

Prior to joining Albers, Rita Bashaw directed the Oldenborg Center for Modern Languages and International Relations at Pomona College in Claremont, California, where she enjoyed working with students, administrators, and faculty in promoting student success via co-curricular and curricular program development. She holds a BA in German and History from UC Berkeley, MA in German and European Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and PhD in German Studies from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In her free time Rita enjoys learning languages, baking, and discovering the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
