Mentoring Objectives & Scope
Since I graduated more recently than many of the mentors (2008), I have a good sense for how to navigate the entry-level career landscape coming out of undergrad. My knowledge and advice will be most relevant for students interested in finance, and particularly investments. Investment companies are very fragmented, especially in Seattle, so I really want to help students understand the job prospects in that industry better. Additionally, I hope to provide resume advice, interview tips, and help mentees understand Russell Investments better. My prior group of students was highly interested in stock research, so we read a stock valuation book together and discussed various strategies for picking stocks.
When and where do you hold meetings with your students?
During business hours on weekdays at Russell Investments Center.
