profile

Job Description

I run the operation, which has five fixed-base training centers around the country, as well as a number of mobile training assets. The HQ is in Tacoma, where back-office and administrative support is provided. As an owner/operator, my job is largely to support my management team, as well as keep the operation running smooth. Aircare has roughly 60 employees throughout the United States.

Company Description

Aircare International is a service company serving private flight departments and charter operators, as well as commercial maritime operations in North America. The company offers three distinct product lines in aviation emergency procedures training, tele medical support and medical supply.

Employment History

I have been the acting CEO of Aircare International for the last twelve years. Prior to Aircare, I was a Senior Vice President for Comerica Bank's Technology and Life Science's lending team based in Seattle. I held that position for 10 years. Prior to Comerica I worked for a small investment bank raising money and working on early corporate development for a number of early-stage companies.

Education

Highschool: Lakeside School in Seattle 1988

BA: Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA-- European History 1992

MSF: Seattle University 1997

Mentoring Objectives & Scope

I enjoy discussion surrounding operational challenges, acquisitions and mergers, early stage business formation, capitalization and valuation exercises, corporate finance and macro economic trends. Based on the mentoring discussions I had while an MSF student, I look forward to free form discussions where I can surface issues and challenges in a real-world setting that are much like case studies.

When and where do you hold meetings with your students?

Office or in public settings (coffee shops/taverns) in the Seattle area.

Additional Information

I did enjoy a fruitful mentoring relationship while at Seattle University, and found it to be one of the best parts of my path through the school. I want to provide the same kind of experience for young people who are energized to pursue career endeavors, especially those who are interested in acquiring and owning their own business.
