Employment History

He is a high-performing business leader with proven results over 20+ years of experience across product management, product marketing, business development, software development and customer success delivering B2B and B2C software and services.  Piyush started his career at Microsoft working in a variety of product management, GTM (product marketing, solution marketing, sales enablement) and business development across Enterprise Security and Enterprise Data solutions, in businesses that grew from sub-$100M to $4Bn over that time. He also served as chief of staff for the Global head of solution/specialist sales at Microsoft, leading strategy, operations and leadership development plans for an almost 5K person organization. He then spent 4+ at Amazon, launching and running Amazon Flex, an independent contractor delivery service that grew to almost 250K+ drivers within 2 years of launch. He also ran product and tech for Alexa Voice Shopping Personalization team launching new AI & voice powered shopping experiences within the home and auto domains. Most recently he served as COO at CommerceIQ, a US and India-based ecommerce decision management company, where he led a 175-person product management, engineering and customer success organization, and also had people and culture responsibilities reporting to him in the earlier part of his 3 year stint with them. In this role, Piyush got an opportunity to solidify product strategy and execution, optimize customer success for conversion, retention and growth, put in the foundations for hiring great people and building an awesome culture, contribute to GTM, define company vision and strategy and help with fund-raising. During his stint, the company launched 10 sellable modules across US and international markets, grew their enterprise brand customer base 5X (with marquee brands like Kellogg's, Kimberly Clark, Johnson and Johnson, Georgia Pacific, Hamilton Beach etc.), grew their ARR 10X ($25M-$50M in ARR), grew their employee base 4X (while keeping bad attrition below 5%), raised two additional rounds of funding ($60M Series C - Insight Partners, $115M Series D - Softbank) achieving Unicorn status with the last round, and just completed their first acquisition, bringing in UK-based e.fundamentals linto the company fold. Piyush enjoys the opportunity to learn new domains, build great products and services to delight customers, coach and mentor high-performing teams to maximize business outcomes and develop operating mechanisms to scale and create meaningful value for investors.
