Our Resource Nights are opportunities to give you the tools you need to succeed in the Business Plan Competition, as well as out in the workplace. Since our year is just getting started, we are hosting an information session with an exceptional panel of past participants as our first Resource Night. Come and see what the Business Plan Competition is all about; bring your questions, your ideas, and yourself! 

IEC End-of-the-Year Holiday Party!

December 7th

Come and join us for our end of the year party! We will celebrate with a White Elephant Gift Exhange that will help support local business, eat some good food together, and have plenty of great conversation! Stay tuned for more information.

WTIA, CoMotion, and Korean Innovation Council Demo Day

November 15th, 2018

WTIA, UW CoMotion, and the Korean Innovation Council (KIC) have teamed up to create an accelerator program for 5 South Korean tech companies. Starting October 8th, these companies spent 6 weeks being mentored by local subject matter experts and learning about the local tech ecosystem.

Join us on November 15th for the culmination of this program and hear from the 5 companies about their technologies, their companies, and their plans for US expansion and engagement!

Foundational Marketing: The Essential Survival Guide for Start-ups

In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn some of the methods Active Labs applies to lay a foundation of growth and understand how your customers buy. Let’s review some fundamental marketing and branding principles, and how they can be applied to what start-ups need in the crucial go-to-market phase. We’ll explore specifically how a core set of principles can provide a control panel for decision making and how a customer journey map allows you to focus on the most important areas of marketing.
