Professor McCullough’s work during his fellowship term, “Moralization of a Shared Responsibility to Address Climate Change in the Sport Sector” will examine the differences of the responses to address climate change between the sport sector and non-sport sector. Part of this work will result in academic publications, academic and practitioner presentations, and a new UCOR course offering focusing on how the sport sector can better leverage its social platform to address climate change globally.
His research has been published in the Journal of Sport Management, Sport Management Review, and European Sport Management Quarterly, among others. He was also the lead editor of the Routledge Handbook of Sport and the Environment. He currently is the lead editor on a new book project under contract entitled Routledge Handbook of Sport and Sustainable Development and the sole author of a textbook under contract with Routledge entitled Environmental Sport Management.
