The Center for Business Ethics Faculty Fellows Program provides financial and administrative support to Seattle University faculty members engaged in original projects, including research, course development and other co-curricular initiatives, which address themes related to the study of business ethics, corporate responsibility and the role of business in society, broadly construed. The Faculty Fellows Program is designed to support faculty projects across academic units, disciplines and methodologies.
The Center is currently seeking applications for up to two Faculty Fellows for the 2019-2020 academic year. Information, expectations and application instructions can be found here.

Associate Professor of Management, Albers School of Business and Economics
Professor Ferraro’s work during her fellowship term, “Diversity Embracement,” will examine the moral dimensions of diversity and inclusion in organizations; specifically, she is concerned with the ways that diversity is embraced by individuals and the ways in which employees grow to have feelings of “belonging” and “esteem” over time. Her work will involve primary research in conjunction with Seattle-area corporations.
Her articles in human resource management, professional development, leadership and organizational diversity have been published in the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Human Resource Management, and Human Relations, among other journals.
Associate Professor of Economics, Albers School of Business and Economics
Professor Peterson’s work during his fellowship term, “Reconsidering Efficiency: Restoring Ethics to the Study of Economics,” will examine the ethical assumptions standing behind economics and the implications of these assumptions for the economics curriculum. Part of this work will result in a redesign of existing microeconomics courses and a research study in to the assessment of ethics integration in undergraduate economics courses.
His articles in the history of economic thought and economics education have been published in the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, the Journal of Business Ethics and Advances in Financial Education.
