Seattle International Film Festival
The first SIFF was held in 1976 at the Moore Theatre. The annual festival, held each May and June, is the largest film festival in the United States, presenting over 400 films at multiple venues. SIFF’s programming is primarily focused on independent, foreign and documentary films. In 2014, SIFF purchased its current location at the Uptown Theater and also announced that they would be renovating and leasing the Egyptian Theater from Seattle Center College. SIFF offers year-round programming on four screens at these SIFF operated locations.
