Martyr Sauce is a Black-owned gallery and serves as an artist-led neighborhood cultural space. Founded in 2012 by multi-disciplinary visual and performing artist and curator Tariqa Waters, the gallery operates in historic Pioneer Square, “at the intersection of art and community” and has partnered with the Seattle Art Fair, Bumbershoot, and the Paramount Theatre.
