Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center
Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center (LHCAC) opened in 1973 in the former Bikur Cholim Synagogue with the support of the Model Cities Program, providing numerous cultural and community services under Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, transitioning to the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center (LHPAC) in 2001, and the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute (LHPAI) under the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture in 2013.
