Goodwill Arts Festival
Held in conjunction with 1990 Seattle Goodwill Games, the month-long Goodwill Arts Festival brought major works of performing and visual arts from Russia, including the Bolshoi Ballet, Prokofiev's opera "War and Peace", an exhibition of Russian treasures and "Art Into Life: Russian Constructivism 1914-1932" as well as contemporary arts projects in theatre and the visual arts in collaboration with local arts institutions and artists. The arts festival was considered a major success, overshadowing the Goodwill Games.
